Indications:
Flomax is prescribed to improve urination in patients with enlarged prostate also known as benign prostatic hyperplasia.
How to take:
Take Flomax once a day, approximately 30 minutes after a meal. It should be taken at the same time each day. Swallow the capsule whole, don’t crush, chew, or open it.
Precautions:
don’t use this medicine if you are allergic to tamsulosin. Avoid taking Flomax with other similar medicines such as alfuzosin, doxazosin, prazosin, silodosin or terazosin. Your doctor may advise to stop using Flomax if you are going to have a cataract surgery. If you have a history of prostate cancer, your healthcare provider may adjust the dosage for you or use special tests to see if you can safely take Flomax.
